Elite performance Labs offers the highest possible level of evidence-based, results-orientated personal coaching. Each one of our coaches have completed numerous hours of CPD education and have demonstrated their knowledge through exceptional practical applications.

Our team has more than 35 years’ experience of delivering world-class personal coaching to all manner of clientele including, multiple world records and national champions, numerous national, European & world medallists, team GB athletes in a wide range of sports, WBFF pros, countless body transformations and grassroots level clients.

EPL implements a tiered system for all its coaches that is centered on the 3 foundations of great coaching 1) qualifications 2) practical application and 3) continuous professional development

  • Tier 5 – Obtained notable academic accreditation – coached athletes to international standard – completed 300+ hours of CPD – EPL seminar staff
  • Tier 4 – Obtained notable industry accreditation – coached athletes to national standard – completed 250 hours of CPD
  • Tier 3 – Obtained notable industry accreditation – Coached athletes to regional standard – completed 200 hours of CPD
  • Tier 2 – Obtained multiple industry accreditations – coached athletes at a performance level – completed 100 hours of CPD
  • Tier 1 – Obtained industry standard qualifications – completed 50 hours CPD

EPL S&C
MENTORSHIP

The EPL S&C mentorship combines theoretical and practical components to give aspiring strength & conditioning coaches the relevant skill-sets and hands-on experience of working with athletes and multidisciplinary coaches. On the EPL mentorship we aim to bridge the gap between academic learning and becoming a great practitioner.

1. Theory of strength & Conditioning
Understanding and implementing key theoretical frameworks in strength & conditioning.
2. The Coaching Process
How to approach, appraise, implement and adjust coaching. The use of coaching styles, needs analysis, understanding and coaching movement, challenging industry norms.
3. Screening, Performance Testing & Monitoring
Selecting and implementing relevant performance testing protocols, how to monitor training cycles and when to implement change. How to screen athletes prior to training interventions.
4. Planning & Periodisation
Developing annual macrocycles, styles of periodisation and advanced concepts in periodisation.
5. Strength Training & Movement
Assessing movement, advanced strength training protocols, understanding exercise selection and mechanical similarity.
6. Weightlifting & Derivatives for S&C
Coaching weightlifting, weightlifting derivatives & advanced technical models.
7. Powerlifting & Strongman Modalities
Powerlifting for S&C, altered and non-traditional loading strategies, the role of variance.
8. Speed, Agility & Locomotion
Linear speed, accelerative and high velocity running, understanding agility and decision making in sports.
9. Metabolic Conditioning
Understanding energy systems and their relevance to sporting disciplines, implementation of metabolic conditioning and breaking down the dogma.
10. Mobility & Self-management
Understanding the components of control, mobility & stability. Use and implementation of self-management strategies for athletes.
11. Building a business
How to design an S&C facility, building a profitable business, social media & marketing techniques for coaches and gym owners.

The EPL Mentorship is a 6-month process delivered one weekend per month, interspersed with distance learning, mentor feedback, culminating in a practical assessment and viva. Mentees can progress towards become a recognized EPL performance coach, even with the possibility of becoming part of our delivery team.
