Charlie’s love for sport began at an early age when he was introduced to rugby, which he played at academy and national league level. During this time, he experienced first-hand the difference that high level strength and conditioning support can make in terms of athletic development, performance and injury prevention.
His own experiences fuelled his intrigue and passion for S&C, leading him to pursue a career in the field and attain many qualifications – notably a BSc in Sports and Exercise Science from the University of Leeds; an MSc in Strength and Conditioning with aspirations to study for a Ph.D. Charlie has completed CPD courses in a wide variety of subjects, including: biomechanics, weightlifting, speed and agility, periodisation, rehabilitation & nutrition.
Throughout his coaching career he has been fortunate enough to work with a range of athletes from a grass roots level right through to international standard, including: A GB judo commonwealth bronze, world bronze medallist and British champion, GB inline hockey, GB taekwondo, Professional MMA, national league rugby.
Charlie is also the personal coach to multiple weightlifting & powerlifting athletes including: 4x world, 8x British and 3x cross federational record holder, multiple national and British champions, nationally ranked lifters and GB talent pathway athletes.
